Our Story

Fight against rare disorders

Little Aarya, his parents' pride, was only one-and-a-half-year old when he was diagnosed with a very rare Storage Disorder called "Niemann Pick C".

The difficulties faced in diagnosing the exact nature of the disease of their little son and non-availability of medicines to treat it proved to be a long lasting nightmare for Mr. and Mrs. Bhatkar.

Storage disorders are inherited metabolic diseases characterised by an abnormal build-up of toxic materials in the cells as a result of enzyme deficiencies. There are nearly 50 such disorders, and they affect different parts of the body.

The fight against these rare disorders led to the formation of the NGO "WithAarya" to create more awareness.

Know what people say about us

Don Ghaas has been a wonderful opportunity to serve in our neighborhood. A bag full of blessings, contentment and connection with the Lord is what I took home. May you touch a new milestone each day.

At WithAarya there is no discrimination, no matter what the illnesses food is provided. When diseases involve months of hospital stay, it can become difficult for caregivers to afford their own food! It is here that WithAarya comes to their rescue.

The caregivers of chronic patients are often neglected and suffer due to the stress and outside food. The hygienic, home-cooked, wholesome meal provided by WithAarya, along with fruits, is a boon. Kudos to this selfless effort!
